Holidays, Overeating, Constipation Relief

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

If you think about it, this is likely the time of year when you are more in the market for constipation relief than any other time. Have you ever considered why this is? Let’s take a look at what you are doing that is causing your system to back up and leave you looking for constipation relief.

Think of a normal day right now. How much do you eat? If you are like most people you have a small breakfast, a sensible lunch and dinner and that’s about it. There may be a little snack here or there, but nothing too major. Then comes the holidays.

Constipation and Lower Back Pain

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

When you are constipated, that means that things are backed up in your digestive tract. Food, instead of moving through smoothly, is getting stuck in the track and starting to pile up. You can’t keep adding to the inside of your body and not expect there to be some sort of reaction. As more and more waste backs up in the system, there will be more and more pressure put on the digestive system, the walls of your innards and that will eventually push on other organs and parts of the body.

That pressure will continue pushing outwards until it leads to pressure and inflammation in your back. Often this is the first time people notice they have a problem and have no idea it is linked to their need for constipation relief.

>> It is a fact that even minor cases of constipation can involve back pain.

Many People Suffer from Travel-Related Constipation

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Anxiety. Some people just don’t like being away from the comfort of home when it comes to having a bowel movement. They don’t want to use public toilets for this activity and aren’t even comfortable in the hotel room once they reach their destination.

Sometimes these people will ignore the urge to go until they get home from their trip. By that time, they are often very backed up and have to enlist the aid of a constipation remedy. Many of these reactions are not intentional. You may want to be able to remove waste from your system but your body, or your mind, has decided against it.

Identifying What Is Causing You Constipation

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Travel. Some people have a tough time with bowel movements as soon as their schedule has been changed. For these folks, they may go for days on vacation without being able to pass a bowel movement.

Diseases. Unfortunately the side effect of some diseases is constipation. Among these are a number of neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, stroke or Multiple Sclerosis. Additionally, diseases that impact the metabolism like thyroid issues or diabetes can leave you searching for constipation relief.

Pay Attention to Your Body. Many people try to ignore these urges and put them off until it’s a ‘better time’. This is the wrong message and can lead to constipation as your body holds in waste that should have been removed.

Constipation Relief by Sitting Properly on the Toilet

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

>>> When you have to go, you HAVE to go! So, when you go next time, try this and see how easy it will be.

You may think sitting on a toilet doesn’t take any instruction. While just sitting may not take any instruction, sitting in a way that will promote good bowel movements is another thing. Here is how you should sit to offer your body the easiest time in creating a bowel movement.

How to sit

The idea is to bring your knees slightly up. This little bit of motion will change where the pressure is being placed on your body. Instead of all being on your anal area, it will move the pressure to another part of the body, which will free up the anal area to do it’s job and eliminate waste. There are special stools meant just for this job, but any stool, or even a couple of large books will do the trick.
