Constipation Relief by Sitting Properly on the Toilet

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

>>> When you have to go, you HAVE to go! So, when you go next time, try this and see how easy it will be.

You may think sitting on a toilet doesn’t take any instruction. While just sitting may not take any instruction, sitting in a way that will promote good bowel movements is another thing. Here is how you should sit to offer your body the easiest time in creating a bowel movement.

How to sit

The idea is to bring your knees slightly up. This little bit of motion will change where the pressure is being placed on your body. Instead of all being on your anal area, it will move the pressure to another part of the body, which will free up the anal area to do it’s job and eliminate waste. There are special stools meant just for this job, but any stool, or even a couple of large books will do the trick.

Natural Remedies to Get Rid of Constipation

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

One of the key things you can do to stop your body from becoming a victim to constipation is to change your diet.

Instead you need to change your diet to include more fiber. This means you need to boost the number of servings of fruits and vegetables you have every day. If you think about it, fruit may really be a great substitute for some of those other sweet snacks you have preferred in the past. Fruit is usually sweet and in addition to getting your sweet fix, fruit has juice, which is fluid your body needs if it is trying to find constipation relief.

Additionally, unlike your pastry treats, fruit as a snack also offers your body vitamins and minerals it needs which those cookies can’t offer.

>>> Take good care of you and you will see the difference. Eat raw fruits, lightly steamed vegetables, drink more water, juice, etc.

Using Laxatives to Achieve Constipation Relief

Friday, March 13th, 2009

The reason that the regular use of laxatives is a problem is because you are teaching your body to be an addict. Instead of getting it into the habit of doing its job properly and feeding yourself the foods that will help that happen, laxatives allow your colon to not care about working properly. Over time, your body forgets how to work without laxatives, and as soon as you try to quit using them for a couple of days you will be completely stopped up and suffer from a recurrence of constipation. Essentially, your colon becomes addicted to the laxatives, just as you would think of any other drug addiction.

You may have noticed when you take a laxative for constipation relief, it makes your stool much runnier than it would usually be. That is not magic. The laxative pulls water from your body to mix with the waste to make it flow out of your system more easily. This is water that your body also needs to survive.

>>> Do you drink enough liquids during the day? It is recommended to drink 2 liters of water a day. Water is the best liquid you can have. Don’t forget and follow our advice.

Why You Must Have a Colon Cleansing

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

If you are not eating a perfectly balanced and healthy diet, chances are you are loading down your system with more than the things it really needs to run properly. All these extra food items still have to be processed through your system. Rich and fatty foods are harder for the system to break down and many times take longer to break down than other food items. That extra time also means the food items are essentially breaking down and rotting in your system.

As food rots inside your body, it gives off toxins. Those toxins, if left to sit in your digestive system, can seep through the wall of your digestive tract and get into your blood.

>>> Do something radical today. Eat some raw fruit and lightly steamed vegetables all in one day. It is a good start to a better colon health.

What Type of Colon Cleansing Should You Use?

Friday, March 6th, 2009

Never fear, we are going to sum up each style of colon cleansing, how they work, and which ones are the best to use.

Enema. It will be used to clean out the lower colon, as that is the area where it is inserted. Additionally, enemas are not as good at removing material that has become packed into the colon wall as other options.

Colonic Irrigation. This is a process where a tube is put into the colon, through the anus, and warm water is pushed through the tube to clean out the colon. This type of therapy will clean out all of the colon, as the tube will be put in far enough to reach the large intestine in it’s entirety, but it will not get into the small intestine.
