Untreated Constipation - The Worst Case Scenario
Constipation is probably one of the most prevalent conditions known to man. Constipation is ruthless; it afflicts everyone from infants, to kids, teenagers, women, men and senior citizens. In short: age does not matter.
Recent studies have shown that an unbalanced diet is mainly the cause of constipation. When left untreated, it may lead to damage of important organs, especially the colon. And when a damaged colon is left unattended, colon cancer will come knocking on your door and give or take a few years, what started out as constipation might end with death.
Constipation – What Goes In Should Come Out
Constipation is a condition in which the large intestines are congested because of waste buildup. When fecal matters build up and are not released due to constipation, autointoxication takes place. Consequently, because of fecal matter build up in your colon and bowels, a host of parasites such as roundworms and tapeworms also start to accumulate. And as statistics show, parasites such as these are responsible for more deaths than cancer.
Constipation in the intestines also results in a different kind of constipation: cellular constipation. Cellular constipation is when your other excretory organs like skin, liver, kidneys, lymph and lungs are overworked and eventually becomes tired. Instead of functioning properly, your excretory organs become lethargic and will cause your cells to become inactive. Overall, it will result in your organs' inability to function the normal way that will then lead to a multitude of diseases.
Contrary to popular belief, constipation does not only cause problems for the intestines but also to other major organs in the body which is especially true for the colon. When your colon is not functioning properly it can lead to colon problems such as diverticulitis, ileitis and colitis and when left untreated can lead to colon cancer and death.
If you are still unconvinced about the dangers of constipation, take a look at these figures: Cancer is the number 2 cause of death in America and over hundreds of thousands die of colon cancer each year.
So for all of you who think that constipation is relatively safe, please think twice. There are categories of constipation, so be sure to know more about them and how you can prevent or alleviate them. The most important thing to remember is your diet and how to balance it to address the issue of constipation. A high fiber diet coupled with high fluid intake and exercise will lower your chances of being constipated. You have been warned.
