You can purchase this herb as Oregon grape tincture. Mix half a teaspoon in a glass of water. It's most effective when sipped slowly before a meal.
If Oregon grape is too weird for your taste, try boysenberry juice instead. It's a gentle constipation remedy, but you can take more over a longer period since it's more palatable. Or create a more potent constipation remedy by combining the two!

Mix the following and eat over crackers:
- 1 or 2 avocados, peeled, mashed
- 1 or 2 tbsp. lemon, adjusted to your liking
- 3 or 4 tbsp. apple-cider vinegar
- Dash of sea salt
